Housing boost for Alexandria estate with Rosshead facelift

The Rosshead estate in Alexandria is to get a major facelift, with the announcement of a new £2.7m council project.

The cash is set to be spent after West Dunbartonshire Council committed to renovating local flats.

The council’s tendering committee is considering bids from five firms vying for the right to carry out the works on blocks in Halkett Crescent and Colquhoun Drive.

Design works on the renovations are due to begin in February, with the improvement works expected to start the following month.

Improvements include a new insulated over clad system to external walls, new common close windows, re-roofing, external lighting and installing a new communal TV system.
