Birds of prey stolen from Alexandria’s Loch Lomond centre
Three birds of prey were stolen after a break-in at Loch Lomond Birds of Prey Centre and Loch Lomond Garden Centre in Alexandria.
Police were alerted to the break-in at the Gartocharn Road centre at around 9.20am on Friday, February 17. Two male Harris Hawks and one male Red Tailed Hawk were taken.
Detective Sergeant Martin Penny of Dumbarton Police Office said:“Extensive enquiries are ongoing in the local area to gather more information on this crime, those responsible and the car that they made off in. Officers are also currently studying CCTV footage to establish more details on this crime.
“The theft took place between 3.30am and 4.30am this morning, and I would urge anyone who may have been in the local area at around that time who may have information to come forward, or anyone who may have information on the whereabouts of these birds to contact people as a matter of urgency.”
